How did we get here?

How did we get here?

In a world shaped by rapid news cycles, algorithmic feeds, and endless streams of information, it is easy to experience events as disconnected moments.

A pandemic.

An election.

A protest movement.

One headline replaces another, and we're left asking: How did we get here?

The questions we face today did not emerge overnight. Debates about race, religion, immigration, gender, and power have unfolded across generations. Understanding those longer histories provides context for the present and perspective on the future.

The Clio Dialogues explores historical scholarship to shed light on contemporary issues and deepen our understanding of the world around us.

Because the past isn't finished with us.

And the future is still being written.
